What We Do

We offer a custom made to order sawmill service in Kilworthy, Gravenhurst and service the entire Muskoka area. The customer provides the logs to be milled and will advise how they will be processed. Some will prefer live edge which is the fastest service, while others will choose dimensional lumber. We also offer a wide range of wood species already processed into both live edge and lumber. See our store for further details. It is recommended that the live edge be either kiln or air dried before use while the lumber can be used for construction green. We do offer a kiln service for an extra fee.

Our Saw Mill

The sawmill we use is the innovative Norwood HD36V2. It is capable of processing logs up to 36 inches in diameter allowing a 30 inch wide plank that can be over 12 feet long. It is equipped with a 26hp Briggs and Stratton engine to provide more then enough power to rip through the hardest of hardwoods. It has over sized band wheels to accommodate the powerful engine plus an advanced clamping system to reduce vibration during the cutting process. It has an easy to use depth gauge to ensure fast and accurate method to ensure thickness accuracy. It is equipped with a full trailer package The machine is fully mobile and is quick and easy to set up and level with 6 adjustable jack stands

About Our Services

Mobile Saw Milling

The process for the mobile milling service is very simple. You can book online or by phone. One of our experts will contact you to inquire about the property and advise you of the fees. If the criteria is met we will transport the sawmill to your desired location in Muskoka and surrounding areas.

In house saw milling

The in house service is available all year for those who have the capability to transport the logs to Kilworthy or make arrangements with us to have them picked up and dropped off once complete. Please inquire for further details.

Reclaimed Lumber

The lumber and live edge available in our store is produced from trees on the property that have either been brought down by weather or fallen off of the high rocks as their root system cannot sustain their weight.
